If you’re looking for relaxed, stroller-friendly walks with your newborn, whether a quick outing for fresh air or a longer nature-filled walk for a weekend, Frankston offers some lovely spots. Here are four of the best walks: two easy, short strolls (great for babies) and two longer, more scenic walks for when you have more time.

Frankston Foreshore Boardwalk and Pier

• The boardwalk and pier walk is a gentle, stroller-friendly 3 km return, perfect for a relaxed 30–45 minute outing. 
• You’ll get beautiful views of Port Phillip Bay, sea breezes and a chance to enjoy open space near the coast. 
• There are conveniences like toilets, parking, and easy access from the creek or yacht-club area - handy with a newborn/stroller

George Pentland Botanic Gardens

• These gardens provide a calm, green setting with gentle walking paths, a small ornamental lake, and open lawns,  ideal for a slow stroller stroll and even a little picnic.
• Facilities like toilets, a playground (good for toddlers if you have older children too), shade and picnic areas make it a comfortable outing. 
• Because it’s away from coastal winds and crowds, it can feel more sheltered, great for younger babies who might be more sensitive to weather or noise.

Seaford Foreshore Reserve (or linking to coastal + creek walks)

• The reserve offers a peaceful coastal walk across a 5 km stretch of beachfront and dunes, a lovely way to feel close to nature by the water. 
• It’s part of a network of walking trails (including the creek trail and wetland areas) so if you’re feeling adventurous you can combine routes, ideal for a longer outing when baby (and you!) are up for it.
• It tends to be quieter than the main foreshore in busier times, giving space for a relaxed stroll and a chance for your little one to enjoy fresh air and nature.

Kananook Creek Walking Trail

• This walking trail runs 7.5 km from near the pier in Frankston down to Seaford, perfect if you want a longer walk and don’t mind a bit of time out. 
• Along the way you’ll find native vegetation, abundant birdlife and a serene creek environment, a nice change from the urban bustle. 
• Because there are multiple access points, you can tailor the walk to how you feel (and how your baby is doing),  short in, or long and immersive.
