The post-delivery time period can be challenging for any (if not every!) mother. You have the wave of constant niggling aches, feelings of discomfort that comes from your insides being rearranged, and eternal weariness from the marathon event of birthing a new little human. With SRC recovery garment, you'll be able to move more freely with the comfort of extra support around your core during this challenging time. You had better believe these SRC makes lifting, feeding, bathing and caring for your baby much easier as they help alleviate the anxiety and stress that comes with feeling like your internal organs may drop to the floor at any moment. During pregnancy, your core region goes through a lot of restructuring and change. Birth can cause all sorts of issues that many women have never experienced pre-pregnancy, such as the undesirable side effect of incontinence, decrease in mobility and a weakened core and pelvic floor. Maintaining strong abdominal muscles is one of keys to recovery post-delivery. Rehabilitation of abdominal muscles is paramount to regaining strength and functionality for these areas. These shorts not only expedite your post-childbirth healing process but also prioritise a healthier maternal journey for both you and your family, making them especially vital for individuals recuperating from significant abdominal surgeries like a C-section. Added pockets provide convenience, making these shorts the perfect blend of our classic Recovery Shorts tailored specifically for the unique needs of c-section patients. Designed with anti-chafing fabric and in consultation with an obstetrician for the ultimate in comfort and functionality, SRC C-Section Recovery Shorts provide the support you need to heal and move more freely post-delivery. The SRC C-Section Recovery Shorts have been meticulously designed to provide complete postpartum support and alleviate discomfort following a c-section or vaginal delivery as well as assist with:
The challenges of pregnancy recovery
SRC Recovery Garments provide increased stability and allow you to move more freely post-delivery, making lifting, feeding, bathing, and caring for your baby much easier. With no adjustable buttons, Velcro or zips, the garments are like a second skin—no need for constant adjusting. Recommended by health care professionals to improve mobility and pelvic muscle function postpartum, they’ve become a must-have in hospital bags worldwide. 1. Activate Muscles SRC garments have been designed with a technology that promotes muscle stimulation and activation through gentle compression to the pelvis, back and abdominal muscles. Patented Anatomical Support Panels (ASP) deliver targeted compression to the pelvis, back and abdominal muscles, activating muscles and encouraging core stability. This gentle, continuous compression works like a light-pressure massage to keep blood flowing—even when you're not active. True Cross Compression (TCC) ensures compression is maintained in all directions of movement, so support is never lost. 2. Reduce Swelling Gentle compression reduces post-birth swelling and muscle fatigue, helping you regain mobility sooner after both vaginal and C-section deliveries. The uniquely milled fabric stretches and returns to shape, ensuring lasting support and comfort. 3. Reduces Pain and Provides Wound Support SRC garments provide support for C-section wounds, perineal trauma, episiotomy wounds, abdominal separation and lower back pain. Flatlock seams prevent chafing and irritation, enhancing comfort and protecting sensitive areas during movement or exercise. How does it work?
SRC Pregnancy Recovery Shorts have been designed in consultation with Melbourne-based obstetrician Dr. Grant Saffer. With thoughtfully and scientifically designed support panels to work with the natural curves of the female body, they provide an exceptional fit with maximum support. The medical grade compression will leave you feeling 100% supported without any feeling of restriction. Test results show its construction is not only of the highest quality but SRC compression garments retain their stretch and strength characteristics longer, even when put through the wash. Each length has different features and benefits. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference: How are they designed?
Which length/style should I choose?
These garments have all of the features and benefits of the SRC Recovery Shorts with a few additions, specifically to make them even better for C-section births, while still giving the support for vaginal births. The New SRC C-Section Recovery Garments
Compared to postpartum belly bands SRC Recovery garments were designed to treat multiple conditions during the postpartum period.
Yes, absolutely! You should wear your SRC Recovery garments for as many hours as they feel comfortable. Be advised to only start them wearing at night after healing. With recovery compression garments, when you are between sizes, we recommend that you select the size down to achieve the optimal fit due to likely rapid loss of fluid post birth. For best results our research indicates to start wearing them within the first two days post delivery. It really depends on how you feel and advice of your health care practitioner. Most women put them on around the 36-48 hour mark, in the case of c-section maybe a little longer. You will most likely need some assistance putting them on the first few times. If at any stage you feel pain, please take them off. Your SRC product may be claimable through your Health Fund Can I sleep in my recovery garment?
