SRC Pregnancy Garments have been speciﬁcally designed to support your pelvis and reduce the stress placed on it through your pregnancy. This allows you to stay at work for longer, helps you get back on your feet and move around more easily

Through targeted compression, they are ideal for treating multiple conditions like lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain and mild varicose veins as well as vulvar varicosities.

They provide support to the pelvic area through gentle yet constant compression, activating muscles and encouraging core stability, reducing swelling and muscle fatigue.

Our uniquely milled fabric goes through rigorous independent testing to ensure that it is of the highest quality and can stretch and return to its original shape consistently after wash and wear to provide you with optimal performance and a longer lasting garment.

Which length/style should I choose?

Each length has different features and benefits. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference:

Full length leggings provide the best venous return and can be worn like any other pair of black leggings. However, they may not be preferable for women who live in warmer climates.
Lots of women prefer the Pregnancy Shorts Mini because they fit perfectly under shorter dresses and are great for hotter climates. They are also the easiest to put on.

What is the difference to belly bands and pregnancy belt?

Compared to belly bands and pregnancy belts SRC Pregnancy compression garments were designed to treat multiple conditions during pregnancy, like Low Back Pain, Pelvic Girdle Pain (SIJ & SPD), Sciatic Nerve Pain, and Vulvar Varicosities.

Additionally, SRC Pregnancy Shorts and Leggings are more comfortable, which is why they are more likely to be worn for long periods, which increases their effectiveness.

Most pregnancy belly bands do not move with your body and requiring constant adjustment.
Belly wraps and pregnancy belts are not always comfortable or flattering especially when wearing them under or over fitted clothes.
Postpartum belly wraps rely on your ‘judgement’ to get the right level of compression when tightening it. Doing it up too tight can lead to muscle deactivation or compromising blood circulation, negatively impacting your pelvic floor.
Belly bands a should only be worn for short periods, while the SRC recovery garments can be worn for as long as they are comfortable.
In most cases you would benefit from using both instead of seeing them mutually exclusive. If you have severe symptoms of Pelvic Girdle Pain you can wear the SRC Pregnancy Shorts or leggings all day and night, without causing muscle deactivation. During periods where you need to be on your feet for an extended time, you can combine both, by adding the pregnancy belly band over the top of the SRC Pregnancy compression garment for additional support.

How many hours a day can I wear them?

You should wear your SRC Pregnancy Shorts or Leggings for as many hours as they feel comfortable.

Can I sleep in the pregnancy garments?

Yes! We think our Pregnancy garments are your perfect sleeping companion. You will feel supported and stable as you sleep, waking up feeling refreshed. The gentle compression does not deactivate your muscles and will assist in minimizing pelvic pain.

Do they help with Varicose Veins?

SRC Pregnancy garments will assist with relieving symptoms of vulvar varicosities, however, for mild varicose veins and leg swelling we recommend the SRC Pregnancy Leggings rather than the Shorts Mini Length.

*Please note: SRC Pregnancy Leggings have a gentle level of graduated compression in the legs. These are suitable for women with mild varicose veins or swelling. This product will not provide enough compression for moderate or severe varicose veins of the legs.

Can I wear them in combination with compression stocking?

Women often complain that wearing a grade 2 or 3 compression stocking for long periods can be difficult due to them becoming hot and tight. We hear you! That’s why the SRC Leggings were designed with a specific level of compression so that women can wear their compression stockings under the SRC Leggings for a number of hours during the day. Once the compression stockings have been removed the SRC Leggings will continue to provide mild graduated compression so the benefit of having worn the stockings is not lost.

What Size do I choose?

Correct measurement with these garments is crucial to the functionality of the leggings. As they are a medical garment/measured sizes they do not correlate to general/fashion clothing sizes. General fashion sizes also vary drastically by country and by brand (we find that an Australian XS can equate to a S or even M in American sizes) so we strongly recommend you have someone else take your measurements and use this guide to size yourself up.
