Game changer...

“The tens machine was a game changer for my birth experience. I would highly recommend the machine & renting it from Preggi Central- the team went over and above to be helpful & kind in the process of renting & understanding how to operate it best. Thank you, thank you! 🙏”

What's the difference between the TENS machines?

Obi TENS

The Obi TENS machine is our most affordable hire option. It is a lightweight, super simple machine with one channel which means you control all four electrode pads with one setting. Like all our TENS machines it does include the BOOST function for contractions. If you find too many buttons confusing stick with this one.

Elle TENS

The Elle TENS original is one of the most popular machines for Australian mums-to-be. It has more features than the Obi with dual channels to control the top and bottom pads separately (you often want it stronger on your lower back than up top). It has two birth modes as well as the BOOST button and OPTIMAX technology for extra pulse power for the later stages of labour.

Elle TENS Plus

The Elle TENS Plus is the most advanced of the machines. It has all the features of the original with some great bonuses. A handy contraction timer and a light up screen for easier viewing in a dimly lit room. As well as 'birth' mode, this machine has 'pain' mode which is a great option for post birth cramping which can be very strong in 2nd and 3rd+ time mums.

Planned Induction

Our 2 week hire option is suitable if you're labour is going to be induced and you already know the date. It is recommended for instore pick up only.

Local Pick Up Frankston

If you are hoping for a spontaneous start to labour, 4 week hire starting at 38 weeks is a great option.  If you would like to use the tens machine for postpartum recovery, select 6 or 8 weeks.

Postal Hire

We recommend a minimum 6 week hire starting at 37 weeks gestation.  This gives enough time for us to post the unit to you, cover you up to 42 weeks gestation and time for you to post it back to us.

Testimonials

★★★★★

Hiring a tens machine for both of my births was honestly the best decision I made, and now as a childbirth educator I tell all my couples that it is a must-have for the labour and hospital bag. It just works on so many levels- pain relief, distraction and knowing I had that amazing boost button to push when I felt a contraction coming, made me feel so in control of my labour. Along with positive affirmations and great support from my husband, the tens machine really was the key to not needing any other pain relief. Now whenever anyone asks me about hiring a tens machine I always say ‘do it’ and recommend Preggi Central.
